Payment and Pricing
An estimated total is displayed because your final order total may differ from the estimated total. Items in your order are charged at the price applicable at the time you submitted your order and as shown on the order confirmation, except in the following cases:
- If an item is out of stock you will not be charged for that item.
- We estimate a price for weighed items like eye fillet, whole snapper and ham from the deli. When we pack your order, we weigh the items and charge the exact price.
- If you have ordered a meat item that is priced per kilo, the purchase price charged will be the lower of the purchase price per kilo at the time you submitted your order and the purchase price per kilo at the time your order is processed.
Online Payment by Credit Card: Provide your credit card details during checkout on our secure site. We accept MasterCard, Visa and American Express.
The payment will be charged after we have picked and packed your order, just prior to dispatch, which in most instances will be the day of delivery but may be the day prior to delivery.
Your card will hold the estimated amount total plus 30% of your total sales. This is done to make allowances for weighted items and in case you want to add anything further to your order. Then once your order is picked and packed the card will only be charged the exact amount of your order total
If your credit card is declined by your financial institution we can’t guarantee delivery. We may attempt to contact you to make alternative payment arrangements.
Credit card security
When you are logged into your account, we’ll show only the last four digits of your card number when you check out. We’ll never show the whole number.
Our e-commerce sites use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology and industry standard 128-bit encryption. Basically, this makes it very hard for anyone else to intercept or access your details.
Items sold by the piece
Some deli items and fresh produce (eg apples) are sold by the piece. Once you enter the quantity you want, we’ll give you an estimate of the cost. We then calculate the actual price after they are weighed, and charge you this price on your invoice.
